Regional Sales Manager - Biologics Genomic Services : Western United States and Canada

Description

Missions and responsibilities

  • Manage leads and opportunities via the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Prospect and convert new customers (target identification and decision-makers), acquiring new customers within the territory assigned by Chief Operating Officer.
  • Create customer quotes.
  • Prepare customer confidentiality agreements (CDAs) and Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and present them to the General Manager.
  • Answer commercial requests via phone, video conference, or by email.
  • Create and execute an annual sales plan with updates based on the current organizational business strategy.
  • Participate in the definition of commercial and sales strategy.
  • Further development of existing customers within a defined territory.
  • Provide sales forecasts.
  • Represent PathoQuest at conferences, workshops, and strengthen PathoQuest reputation within the market.
  • Coordinate and carry out regular customer visits.
  • Evaluate future market considerations for bioproduction business and suggest changes to improve the company’s commercial offering.
  • Work with the science and technology team to assist in the development of PathoQuest offerings.
  • Support the development of promotional materials and marketing strategy.
  • Monitor the competition and provide feedback to marketing and COO on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in internal global sales events and meetings.
  • Business travel (visits clients and events) 30% and 40% of the working time.

Qualifications and skills

Experience and education

Required:

  • A graduate with a scientific degree, Masters or PhD
  • Strong expertise/knowledge in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology
  • Validated experience (5-10 years) in sales management
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment as a part of a team
  • Accustomed to working in an international working environment

Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience in the biotechnology industry with specialization in production process of biologic products/vaccines/biopharmaceutical.
  • Experience in sales to CMOs and CROs.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Ability to manage a business: communication, presentation, negotiation skills, leadership with a focus on science and marketing.
  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Anticipates trends and future opportunities in the sector develops proactive plans and communicates with management

  • Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the United States
  • Candidates must reside near a major airport
