Sales Manager/Director (H/F)

PathoQuest is a biotechnology company that is a spin-off of the Institut Pasteur, which offers innovative solutions for the diagnosis of infectious diseases and the safety of pharmaceutical products of biological origin. Our “Biologics Genomic Service” business unit offers pharmaceutical industry players an expert service in genomics, combining the expertise of molecular biology and bioinformatics via a Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) sequencing platform and state-of-the-art bioinformatics pipelines. More and more leading players in the Biotechnology and Pharma Industry trust us to assess the viral safety and genetic stability of their innovative biologics.

Position Summary

Within PathoQuest’s global company strategy, design and implement an ambitious strategy in bioproduction safety service and achieve fast sales growth at the global level.

Responsibilities

  • Define the sales strategy and plans for implementation.
  • Create and execute a 12-month sales plan with monthly updates to the Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer.
  • Determine the sales development priorities in the short and mid-term (1-3 years) based on unmet needs and market potential.
  • Participate in the commercial strategy and plans.
  • Build and grow relations with BioPharmaceutical customers to increase earnings in order to meet the sales targets.
  • Prospect for new customers, identify decision makers and convert them into current clients with the goal of generating increased business to deliver planned business BGS objective.
  • Generate and manage leads and opportunities through the customer centric selling implemented as a part of the CRM.
  • Acquire new business and build stronger relationships with existing customers.
  • Ensure the company is building a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt reporting of sales.
  • Set up a forecasting process.
  • Represent PathoQuest at industry conferences, workshops, seminars, and congresses.
  • Coordinate customer visits.
  • Collaborate with multiple key stakeholders to design and negotiate complex integrated business solutions.
  • Participate in the analysis of the current and future product portfolios of the company, market research ensuring a full understanding of market conditions, current and future customer needs, and competitive data to develop strategic marketing plans and tactics in conjunction with the Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to address customer needs and expectations.
  • Suggest evolutions and/or evaluate future trends within bioproduction safety to enable PathoQuest to adapt and/or consolidate its commmercial offers.
  • Build a demand for PathoQuest’s business offerings.
  • Reinforce and build PathoQuest’s strong reputation within the industry.
  • Participate in driving the successful communication of PathoQuest’s business offerings.
  • Work with and lead PathoQuest’s scientific and technical staff along with other internal colleagues in order to meet customer needs.
  • Work with PathoQuest’s scientific and technical team to develop the company’s value proposition and business proposal.
  • Take an active role in helping to develop the company’s marketing and promotional materials.
  • Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns that can lead to increased sales.

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • The ideal candidate is PharmD, DVM (veterinarian) or PhD who also has a Business degree.
  • A solid (8 – 10 years) experience in sales management within in the biotechnology industry with a specific focus in biologics / vaccines / biopharma production processes and respective project management skills, more specifically within virology or viral safety markets.
  • Strong sales experience in CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) / CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) and CRO markets is required.
  • He / she knows all aspects of developing, implementing and maintaining sales strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Able to anticipate and evaluate the impact on results and versus planned objectives.
  • Able to imagine, set-up and validate value propositions and implementation plans to ensure PathoQuest’s developments.
  • Have the ability to work within a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast-evolving environment. He / she must be a team player and accustomed to working with startup companies.
  • Have an emotional intelligence and the capacity to foster a team while also being able to help individuals to work differently and in harmony within the company’s culture and goals.
  • Accustomed to working within international environment and with the ability and willingness to travel 30% to 40% of the time.
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written, is mandatory.

Responsable Service Client /Administration (H/F)

PathoQuest est une société de biotechnologie, spin off de l’institut Pasteur, qui propose des solutions innovantes pour le diagnostic des maladies infectieuses et la sécurisation des produits pharmaceutiques d’origine biologique. Notre approche métagénomique est basée sur une plateforme de séquençage NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) et permet une recherche non orientée d’agents infectieux et la caractérisation génétique des biomédicaments. 

Notre business unit « Biologics Testing » propose aux acteurs de l’industrie biopharmaceutique un service expert en génomique réalisé conformément aux Bonnes Pratiques de Laboratoire pour la sécurité sanitaire et génétique des Bio-médicaments et Vaccins. Notre offre intégrée comprend la préparation spécifique des échantillons biologiques, le séquençage, l’analyse bioinformatique à l’aide d’une base de données génomiques et d’un pipeline de logiciels propriétaire et l’édition d’un rapport d’expert.

Missions

Rattaché(e) au Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer et en support de l’activité commerciale de son partenaire, votre mission est de garantir un service performant et innovant à l’ensemble de nos clients dans l’objectif de les fidéliser et de les satisfaire.

  • Conception des offres commerciales en étroite collaboration avec les équipes scientifique, technique, opérationnelle, marketing et commerciale
  • Recherche et suivi de nouveaux prospects (Emailing, appels téléphoniques, suivi des campagnes marketing…) et mise à jour de notre CRM
  • Gestion administrative des commandes, facturation
  • Support opérationnel à l’ensemble de l’équipe vente et marketing (congrès, workshop, plan marketing, plan de communication, ..)
  • Suivi et animation de la satisfaction client

Description du profil

  • Avoir idéalement une double formation commerciale et scientifique
  • Bac+3 avec 5 ans d’expérience minimum
  • Un excellent niveau d’anglais est indispensable
  • Doté(e) d’un excellent contact client
  • Maitrise des outils de bureautique et logiciels de CRM
  • Une expérience dans une société de prestations de service (CRO) serait un plus

Le poste proposé requiert de l’autonomie, une forte capacité d’adaptation dans un environnement en pleine croissance, et une aptitude particulière à la communication (interne et avec le client)
