PathoQuest has been nominated for a 2018 PrixGalien MedStartup award, an initiative between The Galien Foundation and Business France to encourage and reward international partnerships between French and North American innovators in the Life Sciences Industry. PathoQuest was selected as a nominee by an awards committee comprised of industry experts based on the Company’s previously announced collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). The collaboration between PathoQuest and MSKCC is intended to establish the company’s proprietary iDTECT™ Blood test within MSKCC’s microbiology lab and to compare the test with standard testing methods utilized to identify microorganisms responsible for infections in patients presenting with febrile neutropenia. The iDTECT Blood test utilizes advanced metagenomic methods and next generation sequencing (NGS) to identify bacteria and viruses responsible for infections in blood samples from patients.
