The Consortium on Adventitious Agent Contamination in Biomanufacturing (CAACB)was founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI) and companies in the field to enable the confidential collection and analysis of industry adventitious agent contamination data and the dissemination of the most effective industry practices used to combat contaminations during the reliable manufacture of life-saving biotherapeutic medications.

The 2018 CAACB Workshop on Adventitious Agent Control of Raw Materials will focus on current approaches and experiences with regards to adventitious agent control of raw materials. Company case studies will be featured with the goal of beginning to identify the selection and testing of raw materials, as well as, process-related raw materials issues. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at The Charles Hotel, Harvard Square, One Bennett Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Jean-Marie Charpin, Ph.D., Chief Commercial Officer for PathoQuest’s Biologics Genomic Service, has been invited by the CCACB to present on the the company’s NGS testing application during this years Consortium meeting.
